The following requests have been submitted by USPCS members seeking your assistance.


IDAHO TERRITORIAL POSTMARK CATALOG - Urgently seeking photocopies or scans of Idaho postal material through July 3, 1890. No need to resubmit material previously sent to Richard Long in 1994-95. Results will be published serially in The Oregon Country alphabetically, arranged by county. Will reimburse costs and acknowledge contributors in the published work if desired. Need Your Help: I’m researching the early, so-called red-band envelopes used by the USPOD to carry registered mail in the period 1867-1871. They are on heavy, manaila stock with a wide red band at the top and bottom. Scans of front and back would be appreciated. Need Your Help: Doing research on NYFM cancels prior to 1870. Would like assistance in providing material in hopes of putting together a concise and chronological catalog of different cancels as well as a census of material. Seeking covers which fulfill the following requirements: a) pre-1870 usage, b) foreign destination (outside USA), c) New York Exchange Office origin postmark, and d) has no other USA postmark than New York.
